They could see through the lies politicians made
And demanded justice regardless of the price to pay.

When the people weren’t as cold as they are today
They would open their hearts and souls to the needy
Without a second thought, sharing love freely.

When the people weren’t as negligent as they are today
They rose to the occasion at once to fight
For those who couldn’t, for what they believed was right.

When the people were just as troubled as they are today

They solved their problems, and so will we one day.
